Serologic tests are blood tests that look for antibodies in the blood. Different types of serologic tests can diagnose various disease conditions. But a lot of physicians they don't know how it works or why it is important for some organism than others.

This session will cover viral infections.

Objectives

- Clarify different serology lab tests and state their principles.
- Describe the application of different serology tests techniques
- Discuss the common organisms detected by serology
- Interpret the common serology lab tests for example (hepatitis, HIV)
- Discuss some serology test reports and practice report interpretation using specific examples

Main theme

Interactive online course of 2 days duration, total of 4 hours contain short theoretical talk followed by practical part where interpretation takes place.

Each topic will include three to four examples of real cases with certain questions to be interpreted, discussed and answered by the participants.
