AIDME is annual conference that provides a unique meeting for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the infection control and this year topic focus on resistance.

Objectives

- To provide the attendees with a comprehensive picture of the current status of microbial drug resistance internationally and locally.
- To highlight the impact of multi-drug resistant organisms on the healthcare system locally and internationally.
- To increase awareness on the evolving problems related to emerging and re-emerging MDROs in hospitals and in the community.
- To update the audience on novel and newly approved antimicrobials, and others that are still in the pipeline, which have activity against some of these MDROs.
- To emphasize the importance of infection prevention practices and antimicrobial stewardship programs in mitigating the rising rates of MDROs in the healthcare system.
