Approach to Neuromuscular Disorders

Overview

Muscle and neuromuscular junction disorders are a diverse group of disorders that can be difficult to diagnose. This lecture provides a diagnostic approach based on the clinical history and neurologic examination leading to a narrow set of diagnostic tests.

• By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
  Define the Neuromuscular anatomy and Peripheral Neuropathy Anatomy
  Distinguish the different types of Neuromuscular disorders
  Identify the general types and causes of Peripheral Neuropathies
  Explain the major subtypes and the features of Neuromuscular junctions
  Recognize the classifications and general approach of Myopathies
