Blood Bank Case Studies

Overview

This session covers the basics on how to interpret, and understand the most common blood bank cases; such as antibody identification, ABO discrepancy, and mismatches. The case studies will be illustrated with just enough detail to help you figure out a systematic way to approach them. It emphasizes real world applications and move knowledge from theory to practical.

  - Demonstrate knowledge of the most common blood bank cases
  - Identify the common discrepancies that could occur and how to resolve them
  - Confidently interpret blood bank cases in a systematic way
