Candida auris: Detection and Control in Healthcare Setting

This session is part of the 3rd Infection Control Update Conference during 2023, providing an opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn from experts in the field.

What I will learn?

• Strategies that can be used for detection and control: active surveillance for Candida auris to identify colonized patients (screening of high risk patients. Isolation of Patients who are colonized or infected. routine cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas and equipment to reduce the risk of transmission of Candida auris. Antifungal stewardship (targeted therapy based on susceptibility testing rather than broad-spectrum antifungal agents)
