This workshop will include the following: -Evaluating the patients’ nutritional status -Calculating PN formula according to the patient’s nutrition assessment -Creating a safe PN formula order per compounding and stability limits -Potential nutrient interactions in a PN solution -Managing patient on PN from initiation to achieving the goal rate and beyond -Managing electrolytes in PN in the face of abnormal patient laboratory values and medications -Managing PN for different patient diagnoses and age -Managing PN metabolic complication -Discussing the following issues related to PN: protein-energy malnutrition, refeeding syndrome, and overfeeding

Pharmacogenomics Clinical Research and Applications
