Clinical Laboratory Quality Management System & Implementation

Overview

This lecture is a review for the main elements of quality management in the medical laboratories. It is aimed at all students, trainees and staff of medical lab technology who are keen in understanding the basic knowledge of laboratory quality management principles and integrating the principles in the health laboratory. You will also be introduced to the World Health Organization’s Laboratory Quality Stepwise Implementation (LQSI) tool. This tool was developed to guide the routine daily implementation of the quality management system in medical laboratories.
