An overview of the most common upper respiratory tract infections caused by bacteria and viruses, how differentiate between bacterial and viral infections, and treatment of each.

What I will learn?

By the end of the lecture candidates will be able to:
- Understand the microbiology of upper resipratory tract infections (URTIs).
- Differentiate between viral and bacterial URTIS, particularly pharyngitis.
- Recommend therapy for common URTIs.
