A probationary period is a stretch of time during which a new or existing employee receives extra supervision and coaching, either to learn a new job or to turn around a performance problem. The probationary period can be as short as a month or as long as a year, depending on the situation. However, most of the time the first ninety days is the most critical part of this period.

A lots of concerns bothering the new staff nurses during this period. Fear of unknown, the burden of the new responsibilities, their rights and demands, hospital's policies and protocols, the punctuality, the first evaluation ..... and so on.
This lecture is designed to help new nurses to pass this period in a successful manner.

1-Identify probationary period for the new staff nurses.
2-Clarify Rights and obligations for the new staff nurses.
3-Discuss punctuality issues and reliability for the new staff nurses.
4- Reviewing the basic concepts and procedures.
5-Generalize tips on preparation for the first evaluation for the new staff nurses.

One and half hour of an online interactive lecture, by the end of the lecture panel will be open for questions which was not covered during the lecture to be answered by the instructor.
