18th Hot Topics In Pediatrics Conference

Introduction

The 18th Hot Topics in Pediatrics Conference (29–30 April 2026) is a two-day scientific activity focusing on ambulatory pediatric care with emphasis on gastrointestinal disorders and other common outpatient presentations encountered by general pediatricians. The program addresses practical evaluation and management of GI conditions such as dysphagia, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, failure to thrive, celiac disease, abnormal liver tests, H. pylori infection, and neonatal cholestasis, alongside key ambulatory topics in neurology, development, nutrition, obesity, sleep, chronic pain, and behavioral health.

Through case-based lectures, clinical algorithms, and multidisciplinary perspectives, the conference aims to enhance pediatricians’ competence in outpatient clinical reasoning, investigation selection, and referral decisions across a broad range of pediatric ambulatory conditions.

Objectives

S – Specific
To enhance general pediatricians’ competence in the ambulatory evaluation and management of common pediatric gastrointestinal, neurologic, developmental, and behavioral conditions encountered in outpatient practice.

At least 75–85% of participants will demonstrate improved knowledge and clinical decision-making in post-activity assessments covering red-flag recognition, investigation selection, management planning, and referral decisions.

A – Achievable
This will be achieved through expert-led lectures, case-based discussions, practical algorithms, and multidisciplinary perspectives delivered during the 2-day conference.

R – Relevant
The objectives address identified gaps in outpatient pediatric practice, including variability in managing common GI complaints, developmental and neurologic presentations, and referral pathways for general pediatricians.

T – Time-bound
The intended learning outcomes will be achieved by the end of the 18th Hot Topics in Pediatrics Conference (29–30 April 2026).
