Taking a detailed clinical history from a patient is a skill necessary for examinations and as a practicing doctor, no matter which area you specialize in. This lecture aims to develop and update participant’s knowledge and skills of history taking. It will enable participants to understand what is required when taking a comprehensive history from a patient. The lecture will appeal to medical students and Interns.

Objectives

By the end of the lecture participants will be able to:-
- Outline what is required when taking a comprehensive history from a patient
- Enhance their communication skills and questioning technique
- Develop their confidence in taking a detailed clinical history

Main theme

It is an interactive online session that provides workshop style interaction amongst the participants and the speaker. The speaker will provide an example on history taking that will require your participation, followed by feedback.
